The following titles are for sale only in the UK directly through the PayPal links on this website. Please contact sj@stephenjoneseditor.com for overseas rates, information about dealer's discounts, or if there are any specific titles/editions you are looking for. Books signed and/or inscribed upon request at no extra cost.

Having mistakenly trusted in someone called Philip Fritz of NY, who received a book for which he has never paid (nor the extra postage costs incurred), I have reluctantly decided that I am no longer willing to get books additionally signed up by multi-contributors as an added bonus to those buying off this website. I am sorry that this individual has spoiled things for everybody else. From now on I will definitely insist on all payments being made up-front, although I am still happy to sign and inscribe copies personally. I thank you for your understanding.

For fans of classic horror fiction, the Not at Night series of anthologies is one of the genre's best-kept secrets. Beginning with the book from which the series took its collective name, first published in October 1925, literary agent and author Christine Campbell Thomson (1897-1985) edited twelve volumes which appeared from British publisher Selwyn & Blount during the 1920s and '30s. This third anthology inspired by Thomson's acclaimed series once again includes many of the biggest and most respected names in contemporary horror with some of their favourite stories, both classic and original.

Reviews

"A collection that contains many readable stories."
—Reggie Oliver
ALL HALLOWS #41, February 2006

"The volume contains a wide range of stories, many of which could not have been written at the time the original "Not At Night" series was published. Jones has done an excellent job in choosing material that keep the same kind of ambience without any hint of being old fashioned."
