Hammer alumni and bona fide horror royalty Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee reunite for this tale of mad monks, primitive humanoids
and glowing-eyed zombies aboard a train bound for Moscow-you've never experienced a ride quite like the Horror Express!
Renowned anthropologist Professor Sir Alexander Saxton (Lee) boards the Trans-Siberian Express with a peculiar cargo—a
crate containing the frozen remains of a primitive humanoid which, he believes, may prove to be the missing link in human evolution.
The professor is soon to discover that he is wildly mistaken, however, as the creature thaws out and reveals itself to be the
host of an alien being capable of jumping from passenger to passenger. A Spanish-British co-production from director
Eugenio Martin, Horror Express, which strongly anticipates the shape-shifting terrors of
John Carpenter's The Thing, remains one of the most chilling science fiction-horror efforts of the 1970s.

"Finally we have the film's theatrical trailer, and (best of all) an amazing audio commentary featuring authors Stephen Jones and Kim Newman that is both an incredibly fun and energetic listen, but highly informative as well!"

It's truly excellent stuff and worth getting the new disc for."
"The best extras are the commentary by Stephen Jones and Kim Newman. Both great and both love the film. They detail everything and even discuss Cushing and his sadness at his wife's passing."
"Critic Kim Newman and editor Stephen Jones provide an enthusiastic commentary, the first of many great extras."
"New to this release is an audio commentary with Stephen Jones and Kim Newman who, if you've heard any of their prior tracks together, always do a great job dissecting the films they comment on. Newman is a whirling dervish of enthusiasm here, he's really, really into it and Jones is right behind him-these guys clearly get a real kick out of the picture."
